Our approach to injury recovery involves a carefully structured rehabilitation process tailored to your needs and personal goals. The process is divided into phases and typically lasts one to 12 months, depending on the nature and severity of the injury and the pace of your recovery.

Let's take a closer look at each phase.

Initial assessment and evaluation

Phase 1

All aspects of the injury are carefully examined, measured, and summarized to guide the rehabilitation process. We collect essential information to gain a better understanding of the injury, starting with a detailed examination of the following:

  • History of the injury and training

  • Observation of posture and movement patterns

  • Hands-on examination of all affected areas

  • Specialized tests to support clinical findings

Then, we define the goals and expected outcomes of the rehabilitation intervention, specifically:

  • Minimizing pain

  • Maximizing function

  • Resolving musculoskeletal and movement-related issues

Phase 1 typically takes 1 to 2 sessions, depending on individual needs.

Phase 2

During this phase, we demonstrate scientifically supported exercises and provide additional advice on managing injuries. We also use this phase to test and adjust the right amount of pressure or intensity to ensure an effective training plan.

In this phase, you will learn:

  • Fundamental movements

  • Activation patterns

  • Mobility techniques

  • Exercise form

Phase 2 typically takes between 4 to 6 sessions, depending on individual needs.

Road to Recovery

Phase 3

In the final stage of rehabilitation, we implement several phases of supervised exercise sessions, ensuring that they are executed with precision and at the appropriate intensity. We recommend 2-3 sessions per week, with each stage lasting 4-6 weeks, to maximize the benefits of this phase.

Upon reaching specified goals, we will map new recovery milestones and prescribe more advanced exercises. Once you meet the final goals, we consider your physiotherapy plan successful —
you’ve recovered!

Modalities

We use various targeted physiotherapy methods to address different aspects of injury recovery and rehabilitation. Each approach meets specific needs and stages of the healing process.

General physiotherapy

Focuses on improving movement, strength, and flexibility while reducing pain and promoting healing. It combines manual therapy (massage, joint mobilizations) with exercises tailored to the patient’s condition. It is suitable for various injuries, from post-surgical recovery to chronic conditions.

Electrotherapy

Radial pressure wave (RPW) and other methods, like TENS, stimulate tissue repair, reduce pain, and improve mobility. They're effective for acute and chronic conditions and target specific areas for quicker recovery.

Orthopedic physiotherapy

Specializes in treating musculoskeletal conditions related to bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles. It includes techniques to improve function, manage pain, and enhance recovery from orthopedic injuries or surgeries.

Sports physiotherapy

Addresses injury treatment and prevention by restoring strength, flexibility, and endurance. It includes sport-specific exercises, strength programs, and biomechanical analysis to enhance performance and prevent re-injury.

Post-operative/surgical physiotherapy

Focuses on recovery following surgery, helping to restore function, strength, and mobility. It includes exercises and manual techniques to address post-surgical pain, improve range of motion, and accelerate healing.

Pilates physiotherapy

Pilates focuses on core stability, balance, and postural alignment using mats and reformer equipment. It's ideal for those with back pain or posture issues, emphasizing controlled movements to support the spine and joints.

Acute and subacute trauma physiotherapy

Addresses injuries that occur suddenly (acute) or have persisted for a few weeks (subacute). The focus is on reducing pain, swelling, and inflammation while beginning to restore function and mobility through targeted exercises and interventions.
